After a slow start where they were eighth, 12 lengths from the front at the quarter, driver Daniel Jones hustled Here Comes Moony and they steadily caught their competition then rallied to the lead on the final turn and went on to a 3-1/2 length triumph in the $13,500 GLADA trot on Friday at Miami Valley Raceway.

When the starter turned the field loose, Alesha Binkley sent Primed N Powerful to the front and the gelding trotted by the first quarter in a swift :27.3. They were content on the lead past the half in :58, but trouble was coming as Here Comes Moony joined the fray and, when they were at the top of the lane, they were heads apart. But when they headed for home, it was apparent that no one was going to catch Here Comes Moony and he went on to an easy triumph in 1:59. Parkhill Lancelot rallied to finish second for Jazmin Arnold and Cash For Gold, with Peter Stratton aboard, garnered the show dough.

The winner is owned by David Beachy and trained by his driver.

Dismissed and sent off at odds of over 15-1, Here Comes Moony paid $31.40 to win.
