In the first half of the 52nd edition Lady Suffolk Trot Friday afternoon at Freehold Raceway, Pacific Splash took full advantage of a break past the half by 1-5 post-time choice Refuse to Lose

Pacific Splash, a filly owned by Robert Key, was guided by trainer-driver Charlie Norris and went on to win in 1:59.1. Miss Lee (driven by Mark Lancaster) finished second, while Cameo Credit (Tyler Buter) finished third.
The winner returned her backers $16.60 to win, topped an exacta worth $113.20 and spearheaded a $589.40 trifecta.
In the second division, driver Cat Manzi guided Balmy Breeze to a narrow victory at the wire over 6/5 favourite Dont Cry Lindy (Jason Bartlett). Sheer Glide (Jim Pantaleano) finished third.
Balmy Breeze covered the mile in a time of 1:59.2. She paid $15.20 to win, topped a $64.40 exacta and triggered a $100.80 trifecta.
