Amy and Steward Oldford’s Nordic Venture returned to Harrington Raceway a winner Wednesday with a 1:57.1 win in the $18,600 Open Trot for driver Vince Copeland
.
The six-year-old Keystone Nordic gelding enjoyed ample success when racing at Harrington last season and was making his first start since January. Trained by his driver, Nordic Venture set all the fractions in his two-length win over Photo Maxx and Second Hand News. It was his 30th career win in 79 starts.
Meanwhile driver Victor Kirby continued his high winning percentage on Wednesdays with four winners on the card, including three in a row in races eight through 10.
