Silly But Serious used an alert start and a well-timed, first-over move to extend her winning streak to five in Wednesday’s (May 31) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,500 filly and mare claiming handicap pace.
Silly But Serious dropped in fourth from post seven for Dave Palone, but was out near the half to challenge the leader, Twin B Hello. The six-year-old daughter of Captaintreacherous-I Need Hotstuff, grabbed the point in a heartbeat and drew off to triumph by 2-1/4 lengths in 1:52.4. One Eyed Wanda and Colorful Sky completed the ticket.
Mike Palone trains Silly But Serious, who lifted her career bankroll to $149,156, for Mitchell Fini.
Mike Wilder collected four wins and Ronnie Wrenn Jr. three on the 12-race card.
Live harness racing at The Meadows continues Thursday when the 12-race program features a $1,310.33 carryover in the Early Pentafecta (Race 4). First post is 12:45 p.m.
