Cyril MacDonald Injured At Truro

Trot Insider has learned that Cyril “Toby” MacDonald was taken to hospital following a multiple-horse spill

on Sunday afternoon at Truro Raceway.

MacDonald, who was driving Doctor Mal in the fourth race at Truro Raceway, was thrown from the bike when the pacer fell. Driver Dave Carey, who was driving S T Cammie, got tangled up in the mishap and was also thrown from his sulky.

Carey came away from the incident with no injuries, but sources told Trot Insider MacDonald broke his sinus bone. He was originally taken to Colchester Regional Hospital in Truro, and later transferred to Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax.
