Its Art To Believe Fastest In Pot O Gold

Its Art To Believe starred in the Pot O Gold Claiming Series, which kicked off on Saturday night at Sudbury Downs with five divisions for $4,500 claimers. The nine-year-old son of Artiscape-Shebelievesinme turned in the fastest performance of the night for trainer Mike Lamoureux and owner Mary Jessica Lamoureux of Chelmsford, ON before being claimed by Azilda’s Philippe Belanger.

Its Art To Believe, driven by Pascal Berube, left from Post 5 and carved out panels of :27.4, :56.4 and 1:25.4 while building up an eight length lead on the field. The 2-1 favourite then coasted home for the 1:56.4 victory with Cruisematic (Jason Ryan) finishing two lengths behind and Momslilstagecoach (Mike MacNeill) rounding out the top three.

The win was Its Art To Believe’s third in eight starts this year and 32nd lifetime pushing his overall earnings to $298,326.

Mathers Crombie (1:58.2), Ificamecam (1:58.2), Astro Lad (1:58.4) and Unopposed (1:58.4) also won their respective divisions.
