Canada's Leading Trainers & Drivers

With one third of the 2010 harness racing campaign complete, a few new faces have emerged atop of the trainers and drivers standings in Canada

Driver Simon Allard, who will celebrate his 28th birthday on May 6, recently took back the top spot in the win category. He has reined home 174 winners giving him a two point lead on Canada’s 2009 National Driving Champion, Brad Forward. Woodbine Entertainment's top ranking reinsman Randy Waples is the nation’s leader for earnings having banked over $2.26 million so far this season.

Fraser Downs’ leading horseman Ed Hensley takes top honours in three categories - training wins (77), trainer UTR (.492) and driver UDR (.467). WEG’s leading trainer Ben Baillargeon has banked nearly $900,000 in purses making him the nation’s top money-earning conditioner.
