Red Shores Names Mackenzie New General Manager

Atlantic Lottery has announced Matthew Mackenzie as the new General Manager of Red Shores properties on Prince Edward Island.

Mackenzie brings more than 30 years of hospitality leadership experience, with a career focused on destination resorts, premium golf, food and beverage operations, and exceptional guest experiences. Over the past 15 years in Atlantic Canada, he has led several of the region’s most recognized properties, including The Algonquin Resort St. Andrews by-the-Sea, Cabot Cape Breton, Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa, and The Westin Nova Scotian.

His experience also spans renowned resort destinations in Muskoka, Banff, and across British Columbia, giving him a broad perspective on destination operations, luxury service, and commercial performance across diverse markets.

Matthew is known for building strong service cultures, developing high-performing teams, and creating memorable guest experiences. His career has centered on properties where hospitality, recreation, community connection, and storytelling shape the guest journey.

Mackenzie starts his new role at Red Shores Monday June 1, 2026.
