There is an up-and-coming equine talent ascending the classes at Fredericton Raceway. Ideal Ticket won his second race in three starts at the capital city oval, scoring in 1:59.3 over a track listed one second off because of rain

.

A recent purchase for Dave Silliphant and Daniel Crouse, Ideal Ticket posted the fastest mile of the night on a 10-dash card. Brian Embleton trains the six-year-old gelding that paced Northfield Ohio's half miler in 1:58.3 earlier this year. He defeated an ultra-tough Seven Signs and Nicoles Baby in the Loyalist Rugby Club Pace.

Gilles Barrieau was at the controls behind Ideal Ticket, his second of three wins on the evening. Barrieau has been consistently productive at Fredericton since returning from a pair of difficult injuries earlier this month. Barrieau also scored with a sharp three-year-old colt called Sittler in 2:01.2. The son of Astronomical has his eyes set on a solid stakes season, after collecting three wins in four starts at this stage of the campaign.

Barrieau's first win of the night came behind Seawind Amanda in 2:06 for owner, Weldon Briggs. Seawind Amanda earned her first career victory in the first race of the evening, pacing her final quarter in 30.1.

Joseph Michael made it two wins in two starts this season, stopping the clock in 2:00 for Todd Trites. The son of Jennas Beach Boy may be getting set for a run at the Walter Dale Memorial on Canada Day weekend. He defeated Woodmere Sandman and Wave That Banner in the night’s feature race.

Mike Downey reeled off a driving double on the card. Downey stopped the clock in 2:02.2 with Gords Girl. The three year old filly earned her second straight win, coming in off a B division triumph in the Atlantic Sires Stakes. Downey also won behind Hello America in 2:01.4, scoring by a nose over Woodmere Bigsplash and Ace On The River.

Other winners were Tahuya Riverdance (Mark Haig) in 2:02.4, Hot Shot Mindale (Lonny Stokes) in 2:02.2, My Bright Penny (Mike Campbell) in 2:02.2 and Windemere Nick (Stephen Trites) in 2:02.1.
