Robert Shepherd and Trevor Henry went into Monday’s program at Grand River Raceway deadlocked atop the track’s leader board with 11 wins apiece, but by the end of the night things changed drastically

thanks to Henry’s five-win performance.

Henry, who didn’t have a drive in the first three races, got the ball rolling with Ricky Bobby (1:57.1) in Race 4. He returned to take the checkered flag in Race 6 with Break Out K (1:57.2) and then again with Toad River (1:56.1) in Race 7.

Lucky Lady Katie (1:57.2) gave Henry the Grand Slam thanks to her front-stepping triumph in Race 9, and an off-the-pace victory with My Man Charley (1:54.1) in Race 11 gave him his fifth trip to the winner’s circle on the 12-race card.

Henry now holds a five-win lead over Shepherd, who was shut out on Monday evening’s program.
