The fun keeps rolling at Meadowlands Racetrack in June with a fun-filled promotions schedule while live harness racing takes place every Friday and Saturday night, with a 6:20 p.m. post time.
Each live race night, fans can enter Horseplay by picking up a free horse at the promotions table and throw the horse into the car for a chance to win $100 and an entry into the Friday, Aug. 1 drawing for a brand new 2025 Toyota GR86.
The annual Meadowlands Racetrack Beerfest takes place on Saturday, June 7. Doors open for VIP admission at 4 p.m., with General Admission at 5 p.m., and beer will be poured until 9 p.m. It is an afternoon and evening of craft beer and horse racing, both live harness racing and the Belmont Stakes.
On Saturday, June 14, the track’s famous Wiener Dog Derby returns. This family-friendly event features Dachshunds racing at the track between live harness racing. This year, eighty doggy contestants will compete in eight heats at 6 p.m. with the Wiener Dog final on the track at 9:25 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
The track’s sixth Monthly Handicapping Contest of the year takes place on Friday, June 20. There is no entry fee (a $100 USD live money bankroll is required) for players, and the prize pool, guaranteed at $1,000 USD and funded by the track, will be paid out to the top four finishers.
Closing out the month on Saturday, June 28, the vino will flow for the Meadowlands Wine Festival. Doors open for VIP Admission ($70 USD) at 4 p.m., General Admission ($45 USD in advance or $50 USD at the door) at 5 p.m., and wine will be poured until 9 p.m. Fest-goers will experience an evening of great wines from around the world, live harness racing, music and food.
The racetrack’s rooftop Terrace, with jaw-dropping views of the New York City skyline, is open every live race night, weather permitting. Guests can enjoy the DJ, great cocktails and items from the rooftop grill while watching the on-track race action.
