Don Marine's Cinder Block improved to five-for-five at the current meet with a 1:55.2 victory in the first race on the program at Harrington Raceway Monday.
The Rockabillie colt emerged the leader in deep stretch after following race favourite and pacesetter Sip And A Bite most of the year.
Trained by Kyle Moore, it was a new lifetime mark for Cinder Block ($5.40). It was one of four wins on the card for teamster Mike Cole.
In the $16,000 Open Pace feature, Arthur Stafford and Arthur Stafford, Jr.'s Blazing Bobby Sox ($2.40, Stafford, Jr.) notched his sixth win of the season and second straight in 1:52.2. The Panderosa gelding led nearly every call for a dominant win over Machamillion N and Remember Me VK.
Trained by Stafford, Jr., Blazing Bobby Sox notched his 26th career win in just 78 starts.
