Class dropping B Yoyo used his patented closing kick to perfection en route to posting a 1:53.3 triumph in a high-end conditioned affair for trotters during Monday’s 10-race card at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Louis Philippe Roy got away sixth in the early going with B Yoyo while Major Muscle shot to the top and sliced out splits of :27.1, :56.2 and 1:25.1. Roy had his charge second over while trotting on the rim at the three-quarter pole, and B Yoyo then produced a :27.1 closing quarter which was enough to earn him the neck decision over fellow Preferred defector, Free Willy Hanover. The show dough went to Bautista in the $25,000 affair.

Sent off as the 3-5 favourite, the nine-year-old son of Striking Sahbra-B Joyflo nabbed his 41st win while pushing his earnings over $700,000. Brad Grant of Milton, Ont. owns the charismatic performer who hangs his harness bag in the barn of trainer Richard Moreau.
