It has been announced that Solveig, the hard-knocking mare that has also found much success in the breeding shed, will be inducted into the Living Horse Hall of Fame this summer, as she has met the qualifications for broodmares.
Solveig will be inducted along with Muscle Hill, Real Desire and broodmare ARLs Troublemaker on Hall of Fame Day, Sunday, July 3, 2016.
Solveig was foaled on May 18, 2002 in Lexington, Kentucky. Bred by Tom Crouch, Solveig raced from 2004 to 2007 and earned US$820,791.
The progeny that qualified Solveig for the Hall of Fame are Shake It Cerry 3,1:51.2 ($2,497,785), Uncle Lasse 3,1:51.4f ($931,268) and Dontyouforgetit 3,1:52.1f ($598,049).
To date, Solveig has produced five colts and two fillies, with five starters and earnings of $4,336,865.
The ceremonies that will honour Solveig, Muscle Hill, Real Desire and ARLs Troublemaker will take place during the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame’s annual dinner.
