Drive For Charity Launched In Style

Mark Bradley began the first annual Drive for Charity with a grand slam winning the first three of four races Sunday and capping off the day with a score in the last race at Red Shores Summerside

.

The driver is teaming up with Noonan Petroleum Ltd. to raise money for their local charity the Children's Wish Foundation. Drivers Terry Gallant, Walter Cheverie and Brian MacPhee, who are also involved with businesses and charities, had multiple wins on the program as well.

Bet The House won the afternoon top class with a 1:57.3 clocking for driver Jason Hughes, trainer-owner Blaine McKenna and his co-owner Gary Arsenault of Miscouche, P.E.I. Bet The House went on the attack en route to the half coming first over to join the leaders and drove on for his second straight feature win at Summerside. Blu Meadow Willie was second while Penbroke Fella finished third. The fractions of the mile were :28.3, :58.3 and 1:28.1
