Dresden Raceway is ready to kick off another exciting 11-card harness racing season this Sunday, May 28.
On Sunday, Dresden Raceway is hosting Ladies Day, featuring the fan favourite "Kentucky Derby-Style Hat Day" where patrons are asked to wear their fanciest hat to the track for an opportunity to win great gift baskets. In between races, draws will be held for gift cards from Home Sense, Degroots, Michaels, Goldcoast Fashions, and Westbrooks. Fans can enjoy a mint julep while they enjoy the festivities and racing action.
Prizes will also be given away in between every race from local sponsors including Wallaceburg Shoppers Drug Mart, McKellar's Flowers, Subway, The Track Kitchen, Mario's Pizza, Dresden Foodland, Dominos, JMHI, Boston Pizza, and more.
Dresden's new high-definition toteboard will bring 150 years of racing into 2023 so fans can enjoy every aspect of the races up close and personal.
Doors open at noon with post time for the first race set at 1 p.m. (EDT). The eight-race card features two $5,000 Preferred 3s, one on the trot in the first race and one for the pacers in the seventh.
