According to a report, Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis yesterday acknowledged that he is aware that people are tired of him saying that the new Quinte Exhibition and Raceway is moving ahead

An article by The Belleville Intelligencer explains that during a regular council meeting yesterday, Ellis assured council that the progress is real.
"As of last week I spoke to the partner from Macallan Equity and, also, the OLG and, basically, the building has been approved," Ellis was quoted as saying. "There are steps to be taken before we actually get to the building.... and everybody's signed off and now it's gone to costing."
Ellis was also cited as saying that forward momentum in the project appears to be coming from the Macallan Equity partner in the venture.
