Travis Cullen, Canada's 2013 Future Star Award winner, was the Sunday star at Alberta Downs as he won five of the afternoon's 11 races, including the featured $8,400 Open Pace with Who Doesnt.
Firing off the gate from post five in the top class, 6-5 favourite Who Doesnt was the first to get a call, but a parked out Blue Star Admiral drove on to take over the lead just before hitting the first quarter mark in :28.1.
Blue Star Admiral continued to front the field past the half in :57.4 and three-quarters in 1:25.1 while Cullen pulled Who Doesnt from the pocket around the final turn.
As the field raced down the stretch, Who Doesnt collared Blue Star Admiral and drew clear to record his fourth Open win this year. The final time of the mile was 1:53 flat. The winner's stablemate, Playbook, closed late to finish second one length behind while Blue Star Admiral settled for third-place honours. Alberta Sires Stakes champion Premium Attaction finished fourth in his four-year-old debut.
Cullen trains and co-owns Who Doesnt, a five-year-old Mach Three gelding, with Jeanne, Kenneth and Jodie Cullen, all of Glenboro, MB.
The young horseman also earned victories with his trainees Roof Daddy and Yankee Luke, along with C Cs Princess for trainer Blair Thomas and Justapassin Fanci for Connie Kolthammer.
Race results for Sunday's card will be delayed until tomorrow.
