The betting public was all over ER Quinn in Thursday’s main event at the Charlottetown Driving Park, and the gelding didn’t disappoint his backers.

Corey MacPherson got away fifth with ER Quinn while Winter Blast shot to the top and carved out panels of :28.3 and :58.4. ER Quinn was first-over on the way to the half, and he eventually worked his way to the lead while racing parked past the three-quarter pole in 1:28.4. A :28.2 closing quarter propelled ER Quinn to the win by 2-1/2 lengths over Jetster in 1:57.1. Tempo Seelster was third.

Orwell Bay Stable owns the seven-year-old son of Total Truth-Electric Cam, who hangs his harness bag in the barn of trainer Jeff Holmes. The 20-time winner now boasts a 5-3-2 record this season from 19 trips to the track. He’s banked more than $140,000 to date.
