A set of $61,300 divisions of the New York Sires Stakes for three-year-old pacing fillies went postward Monday afternoon at Monticello Raceway, with Soft Idea and American Ivy steamrolling to front-stepping scores in their respective assignments.
Soft Idea shot to the top from the rail and never looked back after chopping out fractions of :28, :56.4 and 1:26. She kicked home in :29.2 for driver Jim Morrill, Jr. to win by three-quarters of a length over Mother Of Art in 1:55.2. Art Critic was third.
