With the 10,000-win plateau now in his rearview mirror, Bruce Ranger just continues to add to that gaudy total and chalked up six more wins to the tally after his reining rampage Monday at
The top win came in the $20,000 featured trot where he went gate to wire in measured fashion with Echo De Meautis FR ($2.80, pictured above) who was a one-length winner in 1:55.2 for owners Archie McNeil and Joshua Graber. Melissa Beckwith was the winning trainer and also conditioned another Ranger victor, Hunted House (1:52, $2.40), who is owned by Thestable Hunted House.
Ranger also won one of the $17,500 secondary features with Duke of Cornwall N ($2.10), who took control of the race before the half and then stretched out to an impressive 7-1/4 length victory in 1:50.4 for owner Rich Poillucci and trainer Tahnee Camilleri.
Ranger then teamed up with trainer Lance Hudson for two more winners that included Queen Of All (1:53.3, $2.60) and Crescent Beauty (1:55.2, $3.20), both of which are owned by William Hartt.
Later, Ranger completed his six-pack in the nightcap with Carson Hill (1:57.1, $3) for owner/trainer Todd O’Dea.
Ranger started the day in second place in the Plainridge driver standings with 23 wins, two behind Matty “Ice” Athearn, who was atop the list with 25. When the dust settled on Monday, Ranger was the leading dash driver at the meet with 29 wins, now three ahead of Athearn, who only scored once during the card.
