Chris White's Fashion Showdown was a wire-to-wire winner Tuesday, May 22 in the $17,500 Mares Open at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.4.
It was a dominating performance for the eight-year-old Village Jolt mare, who is trained by her owner. She never had an anxious moment in the decisive win over Sayulita closing late to be second and third-place finisher Empress Deo. It was Fashion Showdown's fourth win of 2018. Driven by Tony Morgan, she paid $4.60 to win.
The race was sponsored by the Harrington Business Association, who was enjoying a group party in the clubhouse. The newly-formed organization had representatives from many of the town's local businesses.
