George and Tina Dennis’ Every Day Dan ($15.40) was a 1:57 winner in the Wednesday, May 21 featured $25,000 Open Handicap Trot at Harrington Raceway.
Driven by Pat Berry, the five-year-old Dover Dan gelding achieved his third win of the season for trainer Joe Columbo with an off-the-pace score over Muscle Dynasty (Tony Morgan) and Rivers (Corey Callahan). Rivers set the pace while Every Day Dan mounted a second-over attack behind the live cover of Muscle Dynasty. Rivers began to yield in the stretch while Every Day Dan fanned three-wide and charged to the wire for the win by three-quarters of a length.
In the $20,138 Winners Over trotting sub-feature, Star Razor ($3.40) scored his third win of the season in rein to Corey Callahan with an easy 1:56.2 score over Hustlenonomics (Ross Wolfenden) and Vlahos (Montrell Teague). The seven-year-old Dejarmbro gelding led virtually every call for trainer Nick Callahan, who shares ownership with Greg Godbout and Yorwollahan Racing Team.
On the undercard, Ingrid Wolfenden’s Baby Bob ($2.40) started a new win streak after miscuing en route to a fifth straight win last week, with an impressive 1:56 romp. The four-year-old Southwind Frank gelding has five wins in six starts this year for trainer/driver Ross Wolfenden.
Allan Davis had three wins on the card. Wolfenden joined Montrell Teague and Tony Morgan with two driving wins apiece.
