Former North American stakes star Joviality S will attempt to tackle a stout group of European trotting stars in the 2024 Elitloppet, set for Sunday, May 26 at Solvalla Racecourse in Stockholm, Sweden.
Drawing post four in the first elimination heat, Joviality S will face off against seven rivals on Sunday including 2021 Elitloppet winner Don Fanucci Zet (PP2, Magnus Djuse), 2023 Elitloppet runner-up Go On Boy (PP3, Roman Derieux) and 2024 Prix d'Amerique winner Idao de Tillard, making his Swedish racing debut from the outside post eight for driver Clement Duvaldestin.
The second trial features 2023 Elitloppet winner Hohneck (PP2, Gabriele Gelormini) and likely post-time favourite, Francesco Zet from post five for trainer Daniel Redén and Örjan Kihlström. The six-year-old son of Father Patrick enters the 2024 Elitloppet on an 18-race win streak, having last tasted defeat as a three-year-old in 2021.
The top four finishers from Sunday's elimination heats advance to the $636,710 final later that day.
