Fashion Frenzie won the $36,000 Preferred Trot on Monday evening (May 20) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Louis-Philippe Roy and the Richard Moreau pupil got away third to the first panel in :26.2 before sweeping to the top and setting the half in :55.1 and three-quarters in 1:23.3. After the third panel, Fashion Frenzie zoomed to win by 3-1/2 lengths in 1:51.3. Looks Like Moni (James MacDonald) finished second and Perfetto (Dagfin Henriksen) completed the top three.
Fashion Frenzie (Archangel - Striking Fashion) is owned by Ecurie Francis Richard Inc., Gestion Mario Bourgea Inc., Pierre Guillemette and Sylvain Richard. The six-year-old gelding moved his bankroll to $1,181,467 and record to 25-5-0 from 42 lifetime starts. As the bettors' choice, he paid $3.20 to win.
Richard Moreau enjoyed a training triple winning with Fashion Frenzie, JJ Tommy (MacDonald, $6.90) in 1:51.2 and Stonebridge Bravo (MacDonald, $25.20) in 1:53.2.
