On April 30, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice issued its ruling on the years-long dispute between the Ontario Racing Commission and the Ontario Harness Horse Association.
The dispute was is in regard to whether the ORC or OHHA would be the party that would have to cover the $100,000 cost of a 2004 accounting investigation of OHHA.
The Ontario Superior Court of Justice dismissed the ORC's application for a judicial review of the issue, and has ordered that the ORC pay legal costs of $13,500, inclusive of HST, to OHHA within 30 days.
