Frank Affrunti drove Debs Prince Hall and Lorrie Sue to feature wins at Vernon Downs on Friday, May 19.

Debs Prince Hall went to the front in a $6,500 trot and led through fractions of :27.1, :57.1 and 1:26. Star Track Hanover (Steeven Genois) made a late bid in deep stretch, but had to settle for second.  Debs Prince Hall won in a lifetime-best of 1:55.1.  Workout Girl (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) finished third.

Debs Prince Hall is a four-year-old gelding by Conway Hall.  He is owned by Richard Vale and trained by Erica Chartrand.  The win was his first this season in eight starts and his seventh career victory. He paid $6.30 to win.

Lorrie Sue (pictured above) charged late to capture a $6,500 fillies and mares pace. Anytime N (Josh Kinney) went to the front and led to the quarter in :27.  Unusual Clarity (Ron Harp) battled for the top spot and took a short lead to the half in :55.1.  The two mares were shoulder to shoulder heading around the final turn and  Anytime N regained the lead hitting three-quarters in 1:23.4. As they reached the stretch, the mad scramble was on.  Special Olivia (Leon Bailey) took a short lead but Lorrie Sue found an opening by the cones and flew right on by to win in a lifetime-best of 1:52.2.  Special Olivia had to settle for second while Unusual Clarity held on to finish third.

Lorrie Sue is a four-year-old mare by So Surreal.  She is owned and trained by Misty Carey. The win was her second this season from six starts and she now has seven career victories. Lorrie Sue returned $15.40 to win.

The feature winners completed a natural hat trick mid-card for Affrunti.
