Brad Forward put on a driving clinic at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Sunday night winning six straight races and later capturing the finale to put the exclamation mark on his big night.
Forward got the ball rolling in race five winning with Majo Christmasgift ($9.40) for trainer Chelsea Knapp. The hot-handed reinsman then reeled off consecutive wins aboard Taurus Quick Two ($5.20) for Gilles Viau, Clowns Smile ($5.40) for Anne Marie Turenne, and Gary McDonald trainees Knee Slapper ($19.20), Summerhill Charles ($4.90) and Knockout Artist ($8.20). Following a runner-up finish with another McDonald pupil in the next dash, Forward closed out the 12-race card with another victory aboard Typer King ($5.50) for Knapp.
With his seven wins on the program, Forward cracked the top 10 leaderboard at the Ottawa oval.
He has earned 47 victories so far this year to bring his career win total to 4,078.
