The World Chariot Racing Federation joined with co-sponsors HudsonMOD magazine and Driven By Purpose in hosting an exotic car road rally Sunday, led by harness racing trotter Celebrity Lambo.
The road rally started off in Peapack, NJ with nearly 100 exotic cars that traveled through some of the most scenic roads in New Jersey, winding their way to Ninety Acers at Natirar.
The motorcade of McLarens, Lamborghinis, Porches, Maseratis, Rolls Royces, Ferraris and more were greeted at the entrance by WCRF founder, Sam Stathis and his wife Connie, who led the cars into the park with Celebrity Lambo harnessed to a custom designed, 458 Ferrari Chariot .
The entire group enjoyed a great brunch and the chance to experience the synergy between exotic cars, exotic horses and exotic chariots, along with photo sessions and getting to pet Celebrity Lambo, a three-year-old, Hambletonian eligible trotting colt by Andover Hall out of the SJs Caviar mare, Arlanda Hanover (full Brother to Celebrity Maserati).
“What a great event this was,” Stathis said. “Not only did we raise money for the Wounded Warrior’s charity but we further proved that with our custom built one horsepower exotic chariots can be just as thrilling as 500 HP.
“Exotic cars, exotic horses, exotic people living exotic lifestyles,” Stathis said. “One of the main sponsors of Driven by Purpose, who also ran the road rally,” “was HudsonMOD magazine. In attendance were their CEO Jason Lembo and publisher Shannon Steitz, who both loved having the harness race horse as part of the road rally and photo sessions.
“This is just another example of how the WCRF is re-introducing the equine and human athletes that together founded the Olympic Games in antiquity, to an entirely new audience. With this goal we are hosting events and promoting a new league of harness racing world-wide,” Stathis said. “We recently were at the US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, FL and are setting up more events globally to help revitalize harness racing.”
