Frank Chick's Match In Heaven A was a 1:52.3 winner in the featured $20,000 Open Pace Monday at Harrington Raceway.
JJ Flynn (2-1) set the pace and led most of the way until deep stretch when pocket-sitting Match In Heaven A ($3.80, Art Stafford, Jr.) emerged with ample pace and drew clear for a one-length score. Qs Cruise finished third.
Trained by Kevin Lare, Match In Heaven A has won two of three starts since shipping in from Australia, where he banked more than $250,000. The nine-year-old Somebeachsomewhere stallion has won 24 races in 88 career starts.
