The Spring Blooded Horse Sale was the strongest since 2004 as buyers from across the country sought horses to add to their racing stables
.
Suit Up, consigned by Trent Stohler, was the sale topper at $18,000. The competitive three-year-old son of Allamerican Ingot was purchased by William Hartt of Maine. Mark Cristman of Pennsylvania won the bid at $17,000 for the handsome Mythical Hall, a four-year-old Andover Hall winner of nearly $100,000 from the Spring Haven Farm consignment. They also offered the promising three year old Real Artist filly Main Squeeze that was purchased by John Melsheimer of Ohio for $13,500.
Burke Stable LLC brought a typically strong consignment led by the solid conditioned pacer Artic Byrd. European interests were in hot pursuit of the beautiful roan daughter of Art Major, but Trish Foulk of Delaware got the final bid at $16,500. A nice pair of five-year-old trotters in that consignment, Hailstorm Volo and Spring Fling each brought $12,000 purchased by Trish Foulk and Tony Schadel respectively.
