Mike Casalino and Dylan Davis’ Maravich ($31.80, Jon Roberts) received a dream trip in capturing the $18,000 Open Trot on Wednesday at Harrington Raceway in 1:56.3.
The six-year-old Lockkeeper gelding was amidst a pocket trip when pacesetting favourite Magic Wheel made a break shortly after three-quarters before out-kicking runner-up Wark Woman and Cash On Delivery in a narrow three-way photo. Trained by his co-owner Davis, Maravich notched his third win this year.
Allan Davis, Jim Morand and Victor Kirby each had driving doubles.
