At Last stepped back up to the Open level on Friday night and survived a first over journey to win his second straight race at Fraser Downs for trainer Debra McCarthy and owner Mark Anderson of Willows, California

.

Serge Masse hustled Storyeum off the gate from the outside Post 6 in the $10,000 feature pace and he strolled to the first quarter in :28.1 while At Last and Kevin Anderson tucked into third. As the field approached the half in :57.4, At Last angled out and rolled up alongside the leader at the 1:25.4 three-quarters mark. The four-year-old son of Western Ideal-Dinah Classic got the better of Storyeum in the stretch and held off Beach Boy Toy (Dave Hudon) by a half-length for the 1:54 victory. At Last’s stablemate, Stop Calling (Jim Marino), finished third off a pocket trip.

At Last returned $2.40 to win as part of the 1-5 favoured entry. Since shipping into Fraser from Cal-Expo, the bay gelding has won five of his eight starts and has yet to finish out of the money. He is now six-for-18 on the year with $34,554 earned.
