Mohawk Racetrack will kick off its Summer Meet with a bang during its annual Fireworks and Family Fun Night on Sunday, May 23
.
The doors open a 5:00 p.m. with racing beginning at 6:30 p.m. and a spectacular fireworks show to follow at 9:30 p.m. Many of Canada’s top harness drivers will be on hand to greet fans as they arrive.
As always, there will be all sorts of options for the kids including free pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting and plenty of other live entertainment for the entire family to enjoy.
If you are new to the races, there will be a Beginner Betting Seminar at 5:30 p.m. where you’ll have a chance to learn from the pros. Each participant will receive a free $2 bet and a race program. To pre-register and be entered into a draw for one of four $50 cash cards visit mohawkracetrack.com.
It will also be Community Day showcasing the best of what Milton and Campbellville have to offer. Visitors are invited to bring a non-perishable food item and meet the different community partners. There will also be a special display set up honouring the 50th anniversary of the Steam Era.
Customers are reminded that admission and parking to this fantastic event are absolutely free and they are also reminded that the actual first program of the Summer Meet at Mohawk will be on Thursday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m.
