Trained by Dylan Davis and driven by Jim Morand, the nine-year-old Dream Away mare found room at the top of the stretch and surged by leader BJs Sweetheart, who brushed to the front at the half-mile, for the win. Jeremes Sweetheart finished second, while Paradise Lost was third.
Monochromatic has 49 career wins and has banked nearly $800,000 lifetime. She paid $4.40.
Allan Davis had three wins on the program. Drivers Montrell Teague, Bret Brittingham and Victor Kirby each had driving doubles.
