Trevor Henry went to the front with Farmers Tuition in Tuesday’s $10,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred 2 for pacers at The Raceway at Western Fair District, and the free-legged distaffer didn’t look back en route to posting a 1:56.1 tally.

Farmers Tuition was hustled to the lead from Post 3 and she successfully rolled the field through panels of :28.1, :57.2 and 1:26.1 over the sloppy surface before using a :30-second closing quarter to seal the deal by a length. Twilight Seelster was second best to the 4-5 favourite, while Machleen nabbed the show dough.

Richard Moreau trains the eight-year-old daughter of Apaches Fame-Holy Creek for Gerrie Tucker of Montreal, Quebec and Debbie Bird of Harwood, Ontario. The homebred won for the 28th time in her career while pushing her lifetime earnings to just shy of $380,000.

Angel On The Wing also turned in a front-stepping score in the $7,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred 3 for pacers. Lorne House rushed to the lead with the Doug Walters trainee, and she doled out panels of :28.4, :58.1 and 1:26.4 before using a :30.3 closing quarter to win by three-quarters of a length over Insincerity in 1:57.2. Pathtodover rounded out the top three finishers.

Sent off as the 6-5 choice, Angel On The Win registered the fifteenth win of her career while boosting her overall bankroll to $107,629 with the win. She is owned by Gary Anderson of London, Ontario.
