Breeders Crown trotting champion Uncle Peter stepped onto the track for the first charted mile of his sophomore year Saturday morning during another star-studded qualifying session at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Driven by trainer Jimmy Takter, the Cantab Hall-Victory Treasure colt pulled the pocket after the :31-second opening quarter and fronted the field of four through middle splits of 1:01.2 and 1:28.4 before sprinting home in :26.4 for the 1:55.3 victory. Champlain winner and William Wellwood Memorial runner-up Money On My Mind and Peter Haughton elimination winner Lightning Storm finished second and third in their 2012 debuts.

The heavily staked Uncle Peter won four of his six races as a freshman and banked $347,955 for Toronto's John and Jim Fielding, and New Jersey's Christina Takter and Falkbolagen Ab.

Another pair of Takter trotting colts turned in qualifying wins during the morning session. Little Brown Fox won his second straight qualifier of the season in 1:55.3 while Guccio defeated stablemate Nothing But Class again this week in 1:54.2.

World champion Takter trainee American Jewel was back in action on Saturday morning with another winning qualifying effort in 1:50.3. The American Ideal-Trim Hanover miss swept to command from the pocket after a :27.3 first quarter and raced past the half in :56 and three-quarters in 1:23 before coming home in :27.3 for the one and three-quarter length victory. Tim Tetrick drove the O'Brien Award winner for owner-breeder Brittany Farms.

Driven by Brian Sears, four-year-old pacing mare See You At Peelers turned in a six length 1:52.4 victory during the morning session after finishing a disappointing seventh-place in the final of the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series on April 28 at Yonkers Raceway. That was the only loss in the series and this season for the Bettors Delight-West Side Glory millionaire mare, owned by John and Jim Fielding, and Christina Takter.

Takter's North America Cup eligible Time To Roll (assessed at odds of 44-1 in Trot Magazine's Spring Book) converted from the pocket to record his second winning qualifier of the season in 1:51.3 (:26.1 final frame) by more than three lengths with Sears aboard. The Rocknroll Hanover-Kikikatie colt, owned and bred by Ontario's Lothlorien, defeated fellow Cup eligibles I Fought Dalaw (32-1 in Spring Book), who set the race fractions of :28, :57.1, and 1:25.1, and Bettors Edge (35-1 in Spring Book).

Ron Burke trainee Breakin The Law, winner of the Spring Survivor Series Final in 1:50.3 on April 21 at the Meadowlands, laid down panels of :27.3, :57, and 1:24.4 before holding off another popular Cup eligible, 2011 Metro Pace winner Simply Business (7-1 in Spring Book), for the three-quarter length victory in 1:51 flat with Yannick Gingras driving. Last year's Matron and New York Sire Stakes Final winner Heston Blue Chip was third with :25.4 final quarter speed. Mybrothergeorge, another Cup eligible (40-1 in Spring Book), finished fifth, timed in 1:53.2. The winning Artiscape-Arls Troublemaker gelding is owned by Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, JJK Stables LLC, and The Panhellenic Stb Corp.

O'Brien Award winner We Will See scored his second qualifying win of the year with Ron Pierce sitting in the sulky for conditioner Sam DePinto. The double millionaire advanced to command after a :29-second opener and began to draw away from the field through middle splits of :57.2 and 1:24.4 before hitting the wire in 1:51.4 with a 14-length lead. The Western Hanover-Aberdakara five-year-old is owned by Shannon DePinto, Earl J. Smith, and the J And T Silva Stables LLC.

Sophomore pacing filly Handsoffmycookie, winner of the New York Sire Stakes Championship last year and runner-up in the Sweetheart, Breeders Crown and Three Diamonds, sat behind Romantic Moment through fractions of :28.2, :58.1 and 1:25.4 in her second seasonal qualifier before sprinting home in :26.3 to prevail by a neck in 1:52.3. Tetrick drove the Art Major-Observe Me miss for trainer Scott DiDomenico and owner Jfe Enterprise LLC.

Four-year-old trotting mare Lady Andover, winner of the Delaware Ohio County Fair's Buckette Stake last year, went from last to first in her third qualifier, winning by a nose in 1:55.2 over Ellens Isle. John Campbell drove the Andover Hall-Lost Lady One miss for trainer Bob Stewart and Winterbeary Farm Ltd. Making the second qualifying start of her seven-year-old campaign, Miss Versatility champion Autumn Escapade finished fourth with her mile individually timed in 1:55.4 for trainer Jonas Czernyson.
