The son of Mach Three-Boy Meets Girl, who is listed at 100-1 in the Trot Magazine 2010 Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book, rallied for a 1:53.2 victory in a $14,000 conditioned assignment on Tuesday evening at Georgian Downs with regular teamster Luc Ouellette at the helm.
Bred and owned by Stephen Scarff of Halifax, NS, Mach Dreamer constructed a 1-3-1 record in nine trips postward last year while banking close to $35,000 in the process. His Tuesday evening triumph improved his 2010 record to 2-1-0 in three assignments.
The Nova Scotia theme has been prevalent in recent editions of the Pepsi North America Cup. The Schooner Stables of Truro, NS captured the 2008 edition with Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Famer, Somebeachsomewhere, and in last year’s edition Keep It Real finished third for owner Wayne Whebby of Dartmouth, NS.
