Trainer Ray Schnittker and driver Mark MacDonald had a good Wednesday morning with their returning three-year-olds at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, with four qualifying winners in all.
Two of them were by Huntsville, starting with the filly Hunting Season, a double New York Sire Stakes winner at two, winning her qualifier in 1:54.1 with a :27.3 final quarter for Schnittker and co-owners Mary Kinsey Arnold and Steven Arnold.
The gelding To The Hunt, an NYSS Excel champion at two, was home first in 1:54 for Schnittker, David Pepin and Flintlock Farm Inc.
A third winner on the pace for Schnittker and MacDonald was Johnny Sack, an altered son of American Ideal out of the dam of the legendary Somebeachsomewhere, who came home in :54.4 - :27 to win a 1:53.4 mile for Schnittker, Ted Gewertz and Nolamaura Racing LLC.
On the trot, the Chapter Seven gelding The Good Book drew off to win by himself in 1:57.1 for owners Schnittker and Gewertz.
