P H Supercam, in his first start since winning the final of the George Morton Levy Memorial Pacing Series, was at it again Saturday night. He prevailed in Yonkers Raceway’s $38,000 Open Handicap Pace with Jason Bartlett aboard.

Assigned outside in what became a five-horse field, the 2-5 choice led every sub-section (:27, :57, 1:25.1, 1:52.1). The final margin was a length and a quarter over a solid, first-up Statesman N (Brent Holland), with Sapphire City (Eric Carlson) third. Take It Back Terry (George Brennan) and Valentino (Pat Berry) came away with the remainder.

P H Supercam, a seven-year-old Million Dollar Cam gelding owned by Bamond Racing and trained by P J Fraley, returned $2.80 for his fourth win (third consecutive) in 13 seasonal starts. The exacta paid $11, with triple wagering cancelled due to the abbreviated assemblage.

Also of note Saturday, a $10,518 double-carryover in the Pick 5 wager meant a $25,000 guaranteed pool. The “free money” attracted $21,565 of fresh money, and the winning combination of 5-(2,6)-3-4-6 returned $328.25 for every two quarters.
