The Pepsi North America Cup is less than two months away and the connections of 56 sophomore pacing colts and geldings have made the latest sustaining payment to keep their three-year-old on the ‘Cup’ trail.
The $1 million Pepsi North America Cup, Canada’s richest harness race, will be contested on Saturday, June 20 at Mohawk Racetrack.
The group of 56 remaining eligibles to the ‘Cup’ is headlined by O’Brien and Dan Patch Award winner Artspeak.
Other notables to make the most recent payment include Ontario Sires Stakes champion Reverend Hanover, O’Brien Award finalist Go Daddy Go and Pennsylvania Sires Stakes champion Yankee Bounty.
Eliminations for the Pepsi North America Cup will be contested on Saturday, June 13 at Mohawk. The Somebeachsomewhere Stakes will take place a week prior to the eliminations and serve as a final prep for the Cup.
A total of 51 horses are eligible to the Somebeachsomewhere, including 38 Pepsi North America Cup eligibles.
The final sustaining payment to the Pepsi North America is due May 15.
