Power Everywhere paced home for her fifth straight win Wednesday (May 1) in Northfield Park’s seventh race.

The four-year-old is owned by Edwin Harwood of Monroe, Michigan. Trainer Calvin Hollar has called upon Robin Miller to pilot the mare in all five of her consecutive victories.

Power Everywhere sat fourth through initial fractions of :28.4 and :59. Miller pulled her at the top of the backstretch and she then flew to the front. Power Everywhere tripped the three-quarters in 1:28 and was first to cross the wire in 1:57.3. She was two and a quarter lengths in front of her closest competitor, Kickstand (Wyatt Irvine).

Wednesday’s triumph increased Power Everywhere’s (Kilowatt-Imagine Anywhere-Camluck) lifetime win tally to nine and her career earnings to $14,748.

She was the race favourite and returned $4.20 to win.

Northfield Park announced the addition of a $10,000 Pick 5 total pool guarantee to Monday’s (May 6) program. Beginning in race three, the $10,000 Pick 5 guaranteed total pool includes a carryover of $1,415.80.
