Rojan Stables, LA Express Stable, Al Kaplan and Howard Taylor’s Hes Spooky ($5.60, Jon Roberts) was victorious in the $18,000 Open Trot Wednesday at Harrington Raceway in 1:56.3.

Trained by Mike Hall, the six-year-old Cantab Hall stallion was sent right to the lead from post four at odds of 9-5 and marched to an opening quarter of :28.3 seconds with 6-5 favourite Major Herbie -- last week’s winner -- in the pocket. ‘Spooky’ then proceeded to set fractions of :58.4 and 1:28.1 before opening up three lengths on the field. Major Herbie held second while Allmar Surprise was third.

Hes Spooky has won one-third of his 15 starts this year. He now boasts perfect two-for-two Harrington record having won his only other start at the half-mile track in August 2012.
