Front-End Speed In Harrington Opens

North State Street Stable’s Monochromatic made her seasonal debut a winning one at Harrington Raceway Tuesday by capturing the $16,000 co-featured $16,000 Mares Junior Open for driver Brad Hanners in 1:52.3

The seven-year-old Dream Away mare set all the fractions in her two length win over a game No Bad Luck, who was parked the entire mile. Cruzinforalivin N finished third. Monochromatic ($4.80) was trained by Dylan Davis in earning her fifth win of the year.

In the second Mares Junior Open division, Nanticoke Racing and Josh Parker’s Nice N Nice ($4, Jim Morand) earned a repeat win in 1:53.1. The five-year-old Blissful Hall mare was a wire-to-wire winner over Bluffs Real Deal and Ash Larue.

Nice N Nice was trained by Les Givens and picked up her fourth consecutive win.

Driver Brad Hanners had four winners on the program. George Dennis and Ross Wolfenden each had three wins, while Tony Morgan had two.
