Driver Doug McNair enjoyed another banner day at Western Fair Raceway on Thursday thanks to a five-win performance, and with that feat under his belt
he managed to increase his lead among that track’s leading drivers.
McNair went into the program with 91 trips to victory lane at the London, ON oval, but that number swelled to 96 by the end of the day. The performance gives him a nine-win lead over Trevor Henry, who ranks second in Western Fair's standings with 87 scores.
McNair was kept off the scoresheet until his triumph in Race 5 behind MJs Miss Chips (2:03). He clicked with Lucrative Lady (2:03.4) in Race 7, Gemstone (1:57.4) in Race 9 and Princess Leah (2:02.2) in Race 11 before capping off his productive program with a win behind HBFs Power Play (1:57.2) in Race 12.
After notching 110 wins in his rookie season and following up with a 384-win campaign in last year’s sophomore year, McNair’s five-win performance on Thursday’s card gives him 100 on the season.
