Diamond Creek Farm has announced it will hold its fifth Annual Open House at the Pennsylvania farm on June 4.
The Open House technically started in 2015 with a casual open day for the local community, but this will be the fifth year for it in the current format.
The day is an opportunity for anyone, industry or not, to come out and enjoy a day at the farm. There will be chances to meet mares and foals, hay rides, games, and opportunities to learn more about both harness racing and horses in general. A big addition to the Open House this year is the inclusion of a “Stallion Showcase,” where the stallions will be paraded for the visitors. Everything is very hands on and the staff is always available to answer any and all questions.
Diamond Creek Farm will have food trucks this year, featuring local trucks Mad Dash Grilled Cheese and Dough Heads, along with the returning fan favourite Bootlleg Creamery. There will also be a bar serving wine and beer for those over 21.
Vendors will include the Penn State Extension Equine Team and Harness Horse Youth Foundation (HHYF), among others. There will be raffle baskets with proceeds going to HHYF.
The Open House will be held on June 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The address is 151 Warrington Street, Wellsville, PA, 17365. There is no cost to attend. No pets please.
More information can be on the Diamond Creek Facebook page. If you are interested in either becoming a sponsor for the day or a vendor for the event, please contact [email protected] for more information.
