Brad Forward, Canada’s representative for the 2009 World Driving Championship in Norway this May, will be presented with his set of Canadian driving colours and helmet at Western Fair Raceway
on Friday, April 24.
Western Fair is planning a number of exciting activities at the track that night in co-operation with Standardbred Canada.
The evening will have an 'I Love Canadian Harness Racing' theme, which was the campaign Standardbred Canada developed and used throughout the four regional driving championships and the recent National Driving Championship.

Forward won the 2009 National Driving Championship at Fraser Downs in Surrey, BC on Saturday, March 21, finishing with 65 points, just four points ahead of runner-up Guy Gagnon from the Quebec region.
Atlantic Regional representative Gilles Barrieau, winner of the 2007 NDC finished in third with 50 points.
