Dropping out of Open company, pacing mare Tells On A Roll steamrolled the favourite on the backstretch and cruised to victory lane in her $22,000 conditioned assignment on Friday, April 3 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Moving underway down the backstretch from an early four-hold, Tells On A Roll and driver Travis Cullen rolled three-wide past the pocket-pulling bettors' choice, TH Summer Lovin (Doug McNair), near the :56.2 half-mile mark to take command then drew off by three lengths for the 1:51.4 score, with a final quarter clocked in :26.4. She paid $5.60 to win as the 9-5 second choice to even-money favourite TH Summer Lovin, who settled for second. Early leader LA Miki N (Jody Jamieson) was third.

Jodie Cullen trains the six-year-old Tellitlikeitis-Have Rock Willroll mare, who has won one-third of her dozen seasonal starts while earning $78,100 -- third-most among pacing mares in Canada this season -- for owners Paul Sanders of Surrey, B.C., A1stable and Ron Cullen of Dundas, Ont. Lifetime, Tells On A Roll has taken 28 trips to the winner's circle and has amassed $891,900 in purses.

The Cullens also had a winning homebred on the 11-race card as three-year-old pacing filly Angels Among Us (Shadow Play-Sing Like An Angel), co-owned and bred by Manitoba's Keith Hannah, scored in 1:55.3 and became one of just five horses in Canada to win seven races so far this year.

A new Pop-Up Series began on Friday for trotters that started for a purse of $10,000 or less in 2026 with winners over $75,000 in 2025-26 ineligible. Optional $12,500 claimers were also eligible. The two $14,000 divisions were won by Masterwork ($17.70) in 1:56.2 with Louis-Philippe Roy driving for trainer Jean-Francois Maguire and Victor Invictus ($14.90) in 1:56.3 with four-time Friday winner James MacDonald aboard for conditioner Ashley Lendvoy.
