MacDonald Has The Hot Hands At Mohawk

James MacDonald had a stellar night at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday, April 3, making five trips to the winner’s circle.

MacDonald kicked off his hot streak by sweeping the early double, winning Race 1 with Chicago Hall (1:59.1, $2.20) and Race 2 with My Last Kiss (1:54.3, $6.80). He added to his tally in Race 5 with Rose Run Ajay (1:53, $6), followed by another victory in Race 8 with Dirty Lil Piglet (1:53.2, $4.30). He capped off his dominant performance in Race 9 aboard Tamara Hanover (1:55.2, $4.10), pictured above. 

With 81 wins this season, MacDonald remains the leading driver at Woodbine Mohawk Park. The four-time reigning Driver of the Year recently became the first in the nation to surpass $1 million in purse earnings this year. He continued to build on his chart-topping total tonight, increasing his 2025 earnings to $1,125,115.
