Maiden Pacer Sells For Six Figures

Americagreatagain, a maiden three-year-old pacing gelding, sold for six figures in an online auction on Wednesday afternoon, April 3.

Eric Prevost of Florida was the high bidder, purchasing Americagreatagain for $176,351 via onGait.com. 

Unraced as a two-year-old, Americagreatagain is from the first crop of Captain Crunch (pictured above) out of the Rocknroll Hanover mare, America Rocks. Although winless in four starts this year, he has already paced sub :27 quarters at the end of miles timed individually in 1:51 and 1:51.3 at The Meadowlands.

Brett Pelling previously trained and co-owned the pacer with New York-based Bridle Path Stables Ltd.
